**About the role | Mo tenei turanga mahi**
Come and join our friendly team in Sunny Taranaki! We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting others to achieve their goals. You will be reporting to the Team Coach and will work with a friendly and culturally diverse team of Registered Health Professionals and Support Workers; all with a common purpose to support people experiencing mental illness in our Mobile Team.The service covers South, Central and Coastal Taranaki areas.
**This is a full- time position working 40 hours per week.
- 4:30pm, Tuesday
- Saturday.
This position covers south, central and coastal Taranaki areas.**
**Responsibilities include:**- Work in a recovery-focused way
- Personal improvement goals
- Attending appointments and advocating for people.
- Medication support
- Budgeting and independent daily living skills
- Supporting people to engage meaningfully in the community.
- Cleaning, cooking, or helping with everyday household tasks in preparation for transition to independent living in the community.
- NZ full driver's licence
- Current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- Preferably we want applicants who have experience in mental health and addictions support - either from education/ training or lived experience. However, there is opportunity to gain experience on the job.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the primary care sector
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
