Cafe Barista

You excel at creating great coffee for those in a hurry and others who just appreciate a really good brew. You are experienced in a busy café environment and are a great person to work with.

If you’re looking to join a small team who are committed to consistently deliver the best cafe experience in our community-based, nook Cafe.

Because we serve both our dedicated Habitat for Humanity staff and volunteers who often work under tight deadlines and the general public, delivering efficient, fast service is essential.

The position is for 20 hours per week, regularly working Tues to Saturday inclusive, 10.00am to 2.00pm

What the job includes:

• FOH cover and preparing fast and efficient coffee barista service
• Managing the cash/card register
• Managing tables and maintaining a clean public service area
• Carry out coffee preparation in compliance with food safety requirements
• Assisting with other café duties as time enables
• Being a positive, supportive and encouraging team member

What you will offer:

• A certificate in Barista training
• Proven cafe experience
• Cash handling experience
