[ref. c85947324] Head Barista/Shop Manager for a Coffee Roaster

We’re looking for a manager/coffee pro to manage the shop/staff, make coffee, sell beans, taste coffee, pack and blend beans and talk coffee. This gives a diverse range of duties compared to a café barista. We are a small roastery, espresso bar and retail store in the North Shore and our roastery in Otahuhu.You will also be involved with barista training and account management to our café customers.
Full-time predominantly in our Milford espresso bar. Saturdays are an absolute must but Sundays are a big no no.
The ideal candidate will be looking for a long-term role with career progression into the coffee industry. Opportunities exist to roast coffee or be interested in owning some of the business or a profit/share model (after some time in the role).
You will require a means of getting to Milford, North Shore. There is free parking in the vicinity with a 5-minute walk.
The must-haves: -Proactive and fast-paced work ethic.
- Some type of management or leadership experience would be beneficial or an individual with these traits.
- The ability to build relationships with people and offer a fun and enjoyable experience for our customers.
- Experience as a barista making beautiful espresso, but more importantly a drive and willingness to continually learn about coffee.
- Willingness to be involved in our marketing campaigns.
