About the role

As a Level 4 Caregiver at Alden, you'll deliver high-quality personal care and support residents' wellbeing in a warm and respectful environment. You'll work closely with nursing staff and the wider care team to maintain smooth, safe, and culturally responsive care throughout your shift.

This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours per week. As we provide care 24/7, flexibility to work across mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care with respect, dignity, and compassion
  • Support residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
  • Observe and report changes in resident health and behaviour
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and culturally responsive environment, upholding Tikanga Maori practices
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care
  • Contribute positively to a supportive and reliable team culture

Skills & experience

NZQA Level 4 Health & Wellbeing qualification (essential)
  • Experience in aged care, preferably as a senior or shift lead caregiver
  • Strong understanding of Health & Disability Sector Standards
  • Reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work
  • A genuine passion for enhancing residents' quality of life
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa (we are unable to provide visa support for this role)
