As a Senior Assurance Advisor, you'll be part of a central team that acts as a ‘critical friend' to keep Police safe by identifying and managing risks and creating organisational assurance.You will help to provide independent advice, support organisational compliance, deliver independent audits and reviews, and enable ongoing improvement across Police operations.

Key Accountabilities: Deliver high-quality assurance activities across strategic, operational, and business risk areas Contribute to the development of Police's assurance model and risk-based work programme Provide evidence-based insights and recommendations to senior leaders Build and maintain strong relationships across Police and with external partners Bring a continuous improvement approach to assurance work in a way that champions a high-integrity culture.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of assurance methodologies The ability to identify, assess, and communicate organisational risks, including emerging and systemic risks, as well as good judgment on when to escalate risks, Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements, internal policies and external standards to ensure organisational compliance.
An ability to create regular customised reporting for governance and other demands, such as performance reporting.Experience delivering audits and reviews.
Experience developing training material, standard operating procedures, and guidance documentation, including being well-versed at facilitating workshops with stakeholders (online or in person).
The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
A 'can-do' attitude with a customer-focused approach to service delivery.

There may be a requirement to travel to various Districts and Service Centres, but this is expected to be relatively limited.
This role is set at Team Leader/Manager level, this means your key purpose is to lead the activities for Our Business and enable people to deliver them.

Utu ā-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $117,014 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
