This permanent, full-time role is based in Dunedin.
There has never been a better time to join our Southern Family!About the role You will:be responsible for maintaining the oral health of children in our region, educating children and their families on oral health and the prevention of dental diseaserecognise, diagnose and treat oral abnormalities and disease within your scope of practicework alongside a Dental Assistant as part of a supportive and friendly team who is committed to delivering quality health services for our tamariki.View position description.About youWe are looking for an enthusiastic team-player, who is keen to grow their knowledge and skills with a proactive approach towards learning.
Excellent communication, natural empathy for children and great interpersonal skills are essential.You will need to have the flexibility to be able to cover occasional rostered afternoon shifts.You will also need to be able to work in other clinics throughout the region, on occasion, this may see you staying away overnight.We welcome new graduate applicants.Our ideal candidate will have:current registration with the Dental Council of New Zealand as an Oral Health Therapist/Dental Therapisttwo or more years work experience as an Oral Health Therapista current APC or the ability to apply for onea full, clean New Zealand driver's licence.Salary rangeThis role belongs to the Te Whatu Ora & PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical CA (2023-2025) and falls between Step 1 ($77,087) to Step 7 ($107,600) p.a.
