Skills & Experience:
- Level 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health &v Wellbeing or equivalent qualification
- Experience working within a New Zealand aged care facility – a minimum of 1 year experience required.
- A minimum hourly rate of $28.25 - $30.03
- Delivery of care in a culturally safe and effective manner by prioritising attendance to residents’ needs and preferences.
- Work collaboratively to implement and support a person-centred approach for a resident with complex needs and to maximise their independence.
- Observe and report any changes in resident’s condition including the ability to take vital signs.
- Take a leadership role and work within the responsibilities and boundaries of a Level 4 Health Care Assistant
- Ensure that all routine keys are delivered as per resident’s care plans including showering, dressing, mobilising, grooming and nutritional assistance.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.
- Ability to build good rapport with others and show empathy.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and time management skills.
- A genuine interest for helping people, excellent customer service skills, and a friendly and positive attitude.
