Heavy Diesel Mechanic - Christchurch

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced and versatile heavy diesel mechanic to join the Christchurch workshop team and be play a key role in maintaining and servicing our fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery.
What you'll be doing- Preform preventative maintenance and servicing on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes and general repairs.
- Conduct inspections and listen to operator feedback to maintain peak performance.
- Diagnose and repair engine faults, mechanical wiring and replacing parts to return the equipment to effective working operation.
- Collaborating with the team to troubleshoot issues, ensure efficient workflow and timely completion.
- Keeping detailed, accurate and up-to-date logs on repairs and all services carried out.
- Staying updated with industry trends, technological advancements and manufacturer recommendations for diesel engines and equipment.
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
- NZ Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering or relevant qualification
- Proven experience in this role
- Can identify faults, but more importantly prevent them

- Excellent diagnostics and trouble-shooting skills
