Join our existing successful team packing avocados as a Machine Operator and become a key part of our production process!
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe set up, operation, and maintenance of production machinery to meet daily production goals. You will work closely with production team leaders, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate, monitor, and adjust machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct pre-startup inspections and perform minor preventive maintenance.
- Set up machinery according to specifications and product requirements.
- Ensure that fruit is loaded correctly in line with our quality standards and ensure that there’s a consistent fruit feed.
- Monitor output to detect issues such as machine malfunction or product defects.
- Document production data and report irregularities to supervisors.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Previous experience as a MAF Roda Machine Operator or in a production environment.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail and safety.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- Adaptable and collaborative, able to work well in a fast-paced environment
