We are currently looking for a skilled sonographer to join our friendly and supportive radiology department at Taranaki Base Hospital.

If you thrive in a collaborative environment, value teamwork, and excel at delivering top-notch clinical outcomes, this role is perfect for you.Our Radiology department is seeking a casual Sonographer with excellent scanning and time management skills to join our busy team.

Located within the hospital, our referrals include acute examinations (inpatient/ED), obstetric, community and vascular referrals.
Our Sonographers work primarily at our Taranaki Base Hospital site but do also rotate to provide scanning at one of our satellite sites.

We have a well-equipped department with six Philips Epiq ultrasound machines.We are looking for a Sonographer with excellent communication skills, a high standard of patient care, enthusiasm and the ability to work efficiently in our busy department in a team of four others.We have a friendly welcoming team, and can offer a great work life balance , enabling you to head to the beach after work.In addition, we are excited to announce that our new building is set to be completed in 2026.

Our facilities in New Plymouth include advanced imaging technologies such as general x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional radiography, fluoroscopy and more.
