Fire Alarm Technician / Electrician
Established in 1998, Fire Protection Compliance is a locally owned and operated business, with branches in Invercargill and Queenstown. We specialize in supporting building owners with fire safety compliance, including fire alarm design, installation and commissioning, fire extinguisher sales and servicing, and LPG cylinder testing.
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician or Electrician looking to diversify into the fire alarm industry. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your skill set and contribute to ensuring the safety and compliance of buildings across the region.
In this role, you will work with a team of experienced technicians to install, maintain, and service fire alarm systems.
Key Responsibilities: Installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems.
Conducting inspections, testing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems.Diagnosing and troubleshooting fire alarm system issues.
Ensuring all work complies with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Collaborating with other technicians on fire safety and compliance tasks.
Providing guidance and support to apprentices and junior staff.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or Electrician.
Knowledge of electrical systems and/or fire alarm systems.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A passion for diversifying skills in the fire protection industry.
