As an Occupational Therapist in CRESTyou will be required to look at clients holistically but focus on the detailsto meet their safety and rehabilitation needs at home. We have a full time position(1.0FTE) opportunity, 40 hours per week for a NZ RegisteredOccupational Therapist.Inthis role, you will be responsible for:Undertaking occupational therapy assessments and developing and implementing intervention and treatment plans in conjunction with the client and whānauManaging and prioritising a busy caseloadCarrying out assessments and treatments plans in a holistic manner with a view to possible referral to other disciplines and support agenciesTroubleshooting barriers to discharge Delegation to kaiāwhina/ AHA to ensure client needs are met in a timely and safe mannerEnsuring timely assessment of patient needs on discharge to ensure optimum support is provided as they return to their homesAbout YouIdeally you will be an Occupational Therapist who is experienced in gerontology and/or rehabilitation, who is excited to work in a patient outcomes environment.Yourskills will include:The ability to hit the ground running with the energy and passion to deliver a high standard of care to patientsFlexibility and adaptability to work as a member of an inter-disciplinary teamEnthusiasm for knowledge sharing across and beyond your disciplineThe ability to establish an early rapport with patients and families, and interact with a wide range of people from varying backgroundsCompetency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthGood clerical, literacy and computer skillsDemonstrated specialty area experience and professional development is preferableAs this is a community position and travel is required, a full NZ Driver's license is essentialRegistration with the NZ Occupational Therapy Board and an Annual Practicing Certificate is essentialWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
