Experienced At Milking Cows

Our permanent staff team are from Canada, South Africa, New Zealand and the Philippines with backpackers coming from all over on a seasonal basis.

This role, and our shared accommodation, is onlysuitable for 1 person. No couples/friend groups please.

Our farm has over 395ha effective land, is a system 4 to 5 and currently milking 850 cows on a 60 bail rotary shed with ACRs. We have top-notch farm infrastructure: two feed pads, freshly-lined effluent pond and a travelling irrigator. We have a mixer wagon, tractors, telehandlers as well as excellent calf rearing facilities (in case other areas of farm work interest you too).

We are asplit-calvingfarm which means we milk twice a day, all year round so there is no shortage of hours.

We think the best fit for our team is someone with milking experience (either herringbone or rotary) and likely on a Working Holiday Visa (WHV). The most important things are having a positive attitude, the ability to think on your feet, being punctual and having effective communication skills.

There is some flexibility with the roster though generally working 11 days on, 3 days off.

You must already be in New Zealand, as well as already entitled to work in NZ, have a full and valid drivers license and be willing to undergo drug tests and a police check. Smoking/vaping not permitted on farm or inside any farm house.

The start date is somewhat flexible for the right candidate.

This role isNOT for someone in need of an accredited employer(Accredited Employer Work Visa).
