Job Summary
The Forklift Driver is responsible for operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload,move, and stack goods safely and efficiently in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, high reach, or pallet jacks) to move goods and materials
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage racks
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on forklifts
- Follow standard warehouse and logistics procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update warehouse management systems
- Assist in general warehouse tasks such as packing, labelling, and organising stock
- Adhere to workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with dispatch, delivery drivers, and logistics staff
- NZQF Level 4 qualification,OR
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Basic knowledge of post-harvest handling and cool chain logistics is advantageous.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and fast-paced environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift and move heavy loads safely.
