From providing front-line customer support at our busy enquiries desk, to coordinating meeting rooms, issuing ID cards, and overseeing uniform distribution, you'll ensure everything runs seamlessly. You'll support the key administrative processes that keep our hospital running smoothly, and create a welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike.

If you're a quick learner who goes the extra mile and thrives in a supportive team, this is for you!Key responsibilities of the role:Provide Front-Line Customer Service: You'll be the welcoming first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, assisting with enquiries, directions, and managing the busy enquiries desks.Deliver Comprehensive Administrative Support: This includes handling general office duties, precise data entry, report generation, and managing service orders and invoicing.Coordinate Essential Hospital Services: You'll oversee meeting room bookings, set up AV equipment, prepare catering spaces, and manage uniform distribution from sizing to returns.Manage ID Cards and Support Operational Needs: You'll be responsible for issuing ID cards and assisting with crucial tasks related to linen, laundry, and cleaning audits.Assist with Volunteer Coordination: Your role will also involve supporting the daily monitoring, data collection, and recruitment efforts for hospital volunteers.

About the ServiceThe Hospitality Support Services team plays a crucial role in creating a seamless and supportive environment for all – our staff, visitors, and most importantly, our patients. Our department is dedicated to providing top-notch services in meeting room coordination and AV, catering, ID cards issuance, uniform distribution, cleaning and sanitation, linen management, washroom maintenance, facilities management, rural security and attendants, Enquiries desks, and the seamless integration of volunteers and chaplains.

About youWe need someone who is a quick learner, tech-savvy, and possesses great customer service skills. You'll be someone who consistently goes the extra mile and is a true team player, ready to contribute to our collaborative environment.This is a 0.4 FTE role, working 32 hours per fortnight, with the flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

Shifts are rostered between 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday. You will be based at Waikato Hospital.Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:Profanely in English languageDemonstrated ability with customer service, and written and oral communication.Experience in administrative support /receptionist / office.Proven competency in computer skills – Microsoft OfficeAbility to use initiative, and be organised and methodical with processes.
