About the Role

Christchurch Outpatients has an opportunity for Healthcare Assistant to join their team on a 0.5FTE permanent contract.

Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. This role varies from day to day depending on the requirements of the ward.

You will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking delegated clinical tasks and supporting nursing staff
  • Maintaining clinic flow
  • Line cleaning and repressing scopes
  • General cleaning and setting up rooms
  • Ordering supplies and stocking
  • Chaperoning patients if required

About the Service

Christchurch Outpatients works across four floors of our outpatient facility supporting many different specialties. This role will be based on Level 3 and 4.

About you

You will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Recent health related experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent customer service skills - people focused
