About the role
We are looking for a driven and career-focused External Salesperson to join our Auckland based team. This is a permanent role with strong potential for growth within the business. Working hours: Monday to Friday, between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
You will represent our Aluminium, Engineering, Stainless, and Steel divisions, building strong customer relationships and identifying new opportunities across the region. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in field sales, who thrives in a results-driven environment and understands that relationship-building is key to long-term success.A background in the building, construction, or related trade sectors would be highly regarded, but we’re also open to candidates with solid sales experience in other industries.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Provide outstanding customer service and product knowledge
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Minimum 2 years' B2B sales experience (essential)
- Full, clean class 1 driver licence (essential)
- Knowledge of the building or construction industry (advantageous)
- Proven success in a target-driven environment
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- A “hunter” mindset for new business development
- Intermediate to advanced computer and mathematical skills
- Experience working to budgets and setting targets
- Ability to retain and respond to shifting market trends
