Part Time Receptionist, Must be a Hairdresser!

Location: Oakura

Do you love the salon environment but no longer want to be on the salon floor?

We’re looking for a warm, capable receptionist to join our beautiful team — someone with industry experience who thrives in a vibrant, client-focused space.

About the Role:

This role is perfect for a qualified hairdresser or beauty therapist who wants to stay connected to the industry in a supportive, off-the-floor position.

Hours:

• Friday: 8.30am – 5.00pm
• Saturday: 8.30am – 4.00pm
• Monday: 10.00am – 2.00pm sometimes in salon, sometimes from home
• Plus: A one-off 6-week full-time cover while the owner is away (dates to be confirmed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking appointments using our salon booking system
• Replying to client texts and inquiries
• Welcoming and seeing out clients with warmth
• Making yummy teas and coffees

• Serving customers in the boutique
• Pricing and displaying retail items
• Assisting with stock adjustments
• Updating the look and feel of the boutique to keep things fresh

• Maintaining salon flow and tidiness during busy times
• Helping rinse colour during peak periods (occasional)
