About the Role

Key Skills is working with a long standing, New Zealand owned engineering supply business that has built a strong reputation for reliability, expertise, and great customer service. We are seeking an Engineering Sales & Customer Service professional with an engineering background to join their small, close knit team.

This is a hands on, permanent role where you’ll be advising customers, managing orders, and keeping the shop running smoothly. You’ll need to be confident juggling multiple priorities, proactive with sales, and comfortable working independently in a two person operation.

• Advise and recommend the right products and gear to customers
• Split focus between sales (55%) and managing existing customer relationships (45%)
• Provide excellent counter service and customer support
• Process, pack, and dispatch phone and email orders
• Contribute to day to day running of the shop

• Solid engineering background, essential to understand the products
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
• Confidence in handling cold sales as well as regular account servicing
• A self starter who can work effectively in a small team environment

• Permanent, full time position, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or after hours work
• Training provided on internal systems
