About the Role
Reporting to the Planning and Performance Manager, you will lead the programme management of large, complex improvement and innovation initiatives across Counties District. Working collaboratively with clinicians, managers, support services, and other key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in driving the achievement of key Health targets.
Key Responsibilities
Provide programme leadership through change management, improvement methodologies, and tools.Set, monitor, and report on goals, milestones, and operational plans to ensure programme success.
Foster strong communication and trusted relationships with colleagues and senior executive management.
Evaluate programme progress, offering expert advice to enhance outcomes and ensure sustainable change.
Lead data collection, analysis, and visualization to support effective delivery and informed decision-making.
Coach and mentor clinical and operational leaders to embed continuous improvement and sustain operational efficiencies aligned with system strategies.
About You You are an experienced manager and a purpose-driven change agent, committed to delivering meaningful and lasting impact. You possess a comprehensive understanding of organisational objectives and excel at negotiating and implementing decisions that support strategic priorities.
You will bring:
At least 5 years' experience in the health sector and/or relevant programme management, improvement, or innovation roles.A recognised project or programme management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent experience.
Formal training or experience in improvement and innovation methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Model for Improvement, Double Diamond, Agile).
Expertise across all aspects of programme management, including planning, design, change management, risk management, benefit realisation, communication, reporting, and evaluation.
Advanced skills in data collection, analysis, and presentation, with an understanding of variation and proficiency in statistical process control software (e.g., Minitab, QI Macros).
