Warehouse Manager
Goodwin Group is a New Zealand owned FMCG business which provides specialised services in head office key account management (Foodstuffs, progressive and Independent Retailer), sales, merchandising, distribution, and in store tasting and much more.
We require a logistics superstar to be responsible for overseeing the operations of our Palmerston North warehouse. We are a dynamic company with a growing workforce, so flexibility and being able to assist where needed when we have tight deadlines is key.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the operations of our Palmerston North warehouse.
- Developing policies and practices that optimise the efficiency and safety of our warehouse and logistics operations.
- Ensuring inventory levels are appropriately maintained.
- Optimising warehouse operations through applying rigorous maintenance and security systems and protocols.
- All warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, supervision, scheduling workflows to meet deadlines and discipline as required.
You will need:
- A relevant NZ Qualification or relevant work experience.
- An intimate understanding of FMCG and supermarket supply chain systems.
- A strong understanding of relevant laws that govern the transportation, exportation, storage and handling of food in New Zealand.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- The ability to get on with a wide variety of people.
- Forklift license would be beneficial
- Computer proficiency.
