Operations Manager - Aged Care

We currently have a full-time permanent vacancy at Tasman Dementia Care for an Operations Manager, working full time (40 hours per week). Although the role is Monday-Friday, the Operations Manager must be available on call at weekends if needed.
Our Operations Manager is responsible for the effective operational functioning of the rest home. Working alongside the Clinical Manager, you’ll help lead our special team to provide outstanding service to our residents and families.
Requirements for consideration:
- At least 2 years relevant experience, with previous management experience a strong advantage
- A passion for working in the field of aged care
- Experience/an interest in dementia care would be an additional advantage
- The ability to support and empathise with residents and family members
- Experience in leading and supporting a staff team
- Strong computer skills
- An understanding of business processes, quality systems and management
- A full, clean valid driver's licence is essential for this role
You will organise and coordinate the operational management of the rest home to ensure a safe, homely and supportive environment for out residents. Tasks include:
- General administration
- Ensuring safe and appropriate staffing levels, including assisting with relevant HR processes
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with key referrers
- Scheduling, attending and recording meetings
- Rosters/Wages
- Managing and maintaining the Quality System
- Oversight of kitchen, laundry and housekeeping functions and staff
- Marketing and building positive resident and family relationships
