Olive Indo-Nepali Eatery is looking for an experienced Indian & Nepali Chef to prepare curries, tandoori items, Nepali dishes, and snacks. The chef must maintain high quality, consistency, and hygiene standards while working in a busy kitchen.
Key ResponsibilitiesMenu planning and development: Design seasonal menus, incorporating creativity and customer preferences.
Food preparation and presentation: Ensure the food is cooked and presented to consistently high standards.
Kitchen management: Supervise kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and maintain smooth operations.
Quality control: Ensure all meals meet taste, portion, and presentation standards.
Inventory and cost management: Oversee ordering, stock rotation, and budget control.
Health and safety compliance: Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food safety regulations.
Training and mentoring: Develop junior staff and foster a positive team culture.
Skills & ExperienceMin 3 years’ experience in relevant field.
Strong spice and tandoor knowledge.
Able to work independently or in a team.
Good understanding of hygiene rules.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
Available to work during evenings, weekends and public holidays
Min- 30 hrs per week guaranteedPay rate - 27-33/hr.
