Executive Assistant to the CEO
Caritas are a member of Caritas Internationalis, an international confederation of over 160 Catholic aid, development, and social justice agencies. Caritas is the second largest humanitarian organisation in the world.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand as an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. Based in a superb location in Thorndon, you will be joining a wonderful team at Caritas and will play an integral role, providing a high level of administrative support.
As Executive Assistant you will provide a professional executive support service, including active and efficient diary management, organisation and administration of meetings and functions, and dealing discreetly with matters and communications of a confidential nature and keeping up to date with current policy and initiatives affecting Caritas.
The skills and experience you bring to this role:
- Proven experience as an Assistant supporting senior leaders
- Strong skills in calendar and meeting management, minute taking, financial administration, and travel coordination
- Experience with secretarial tasks for Board Meetings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
- Professional presentation and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience in the NFP Humanitarian sector would be ideal, alternatively a genuine desire to work in the Humanitarian sector.
