Are you a skilled Auto Electrician looking for your next opportunity? AutoTech Hamilton is searching for an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team.
About the Role:We are on the lookout for a qualified or highly experienced Automobile Electrician who can confidently diagnose, repair, and install electrical components across a wide range of vehicles, including hybrids and imports.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out scheduled services, inspections and electronic faults
- Install and maintain electrical accessories (alarms, stereos, GPS, dash cams, etc.)
- Operate advanced diagnostic tools and scan equipment
- Communicate findings and job status with service advisors and customers
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in a timely manner
- Strong knowledge of hybrids, EV battery replacements, ADAS systems, and air conditioning
- Ability to maintain accurate records of work completed
- Skilled in performing checks and testing to verify repair success
- Relevant trade qualification or significant hands-on industry experience
- Excellent understanding of automotive electrical systems
- Reliable, honest, and hardworking with strong attention to detail
- Full NZ driver’s license (or valid overseas license)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Must be a NZ citizen, permanent resident or valid work visa holder
- Competitive hourly rate of $30–$35, depending on experience
