- quality clinical photography for documentation within patient records.
You will work closely with our Medical, Surgical, and Nursing teams to ensure accurate and effective visual records.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided by our experienced Senior Medical Photographer to help you thrive in your role.Some of your duties will also include:Attending requests for Clinical Photography from Medical / Nursing TeamsProviding support for teaching, research and publication purposes on location when resources permit.Be responsible for the clinical photograph service referral, quality, and storage database systems.Provide service cover across our Capital Coast and Hutt Valley CampusesHours of work are between core business hours, Monday to Friday.
As this is a casual role, it is expected to cover leave as well as assist during periods when there are higher volumes of work.Each shift you work will be for a period of 8 hours.
The full salary range for this position is $72,074- $86,719 pro-rata.About the TeamThe Medical Photography Service operates as a vital clinical support function within the Hospital Flow Directorate.
You will be comfortable working in acute settings, such as the Emergency Department, Operating Theatres, and Wards
- interacting confidently with both patients and healthcare professionals.
The role requires someone who can work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:A formal photographic qualification or previous / current experience as a photographer in medical or health related fieldsStrong organisational skills and the ability to meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesConfidence and resilience in high-pressure clinical environmentsA working knowledge of graphic design and web-based tools, particularly Adobe Creative SuiteFamiliarity with Macintosh platformsA commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining high-quality standardsA positive, enthusiastic approach with a passion for excellenceWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
