HVAC Service Technician – Christchurch
Foleys is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Christchurch Mechanical Services team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in high-quality workmanship, has strong technical ability, and enjoys a role with variety.
This position includes regular work within correctional facilities, so professionalism, reliability, and respectful conduct are essential. Full training on site-specific requirements will be provided.
You will be responsible for: Servicing, maintaining, and installing HVAC systems, including heat pumps
Carrying out fault-finding and diagnostics independentlyCompleting jobs to a high standard within agreed timeframes
Working safely and professionally within correctional environments
Communicating clearly with clients, site staff, and team members
Completing documentation, including timesheets and materials used
Occasionally supporting other trades as required
What We’re Looking ForExperience in HVAC servicing, maintenance, and/or installation
Strong heat pump fault-finding and diagnostic skills (highly desirable)
Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site
Full NZ driver’s licence (manual preferred)
Physically fit and able to work in varied environments
Someone who is reliable, respectful, and able to work within secure facilities
NZ residency or citizenship
All candidates must be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check
