We collect and analyse intelligence and security concerns to protect New Zealand from threats such as foreign interference, espionage and terrorism.The role:The New Zealand Security Intelligence Service is looking for Intelligence Officers (also known as Case Officers) to join its mission to keep New Zealand safe.

Their role is to collect the intelligence or information, which directly contributes to mitigating security threats. They do this by meeting with people from a variety of communities and building confidential ongoing relationships to support NZSIS's mission - what we call 'human intelligence'.
No prior experience of intelligence, law enforcement or other security related roles is required. Our specialised training will prepare you for this unique career and a range of professional development opportunities await. This job is New Zealand-based but there will be opportunities to work overseas as your career progresses.We are looking for people to join our teams in Wellington or Auckland.

There is a rigorous vetting process to allow us to make a risk-based decision on your suitability to work in a Top Secret environment. Accommodation and travel will be provided for those from out of town. NZSIS offers flexible working arrangements, but this role involves frequent domestic travel throughout New Zealand, including some nights away from home.
