Orchard Field Technician

Maguire Industries is looking for a reliable, hard-working Field Technician to join our growing team in the Te Puke and Western Bay of Plenty region.

This role will begin on a casual basis with the opportunity to move into a permanent full-time position for the right person.

Our work focuses on kiwifruit orchard infrastructure, including:

Orchard asset repairs and maintenance
Post replacement, ramming and reposting
AG beam installation and repairs
Wire tensioning and canopy repairs
Artificial shelter and overhead cover systems
General orchard infrastructure projects

Requirements:

Full New Zealand driver’s licence & own vehicle
Reliable and punctual
Physically fit and capable of outdoor work
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Pass a pre-employment drug test and maintain a drug-free workplace
Take pride in quality workmanship

Preferred (but not essential):

Fencing experience
Overhead cover experience
Orchard infrastructure experience
Machinery or construction background
