Support Staff – Full Time (Woolston) - Christchurch
Full-time: 80 hours per fortnight
- Set Roster: Week 1: 3pm–11pm, Week 2: 7am–3pm
- Regular Days Off: Sunday & Monday
- Pay Range: $23.99 to $29.10 per hour (based on qualifications
About the role:
Join our team as a full-time Support Staff member based in Woolston, Christchurch, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for two residents in a warm, home-like setting.
You'll support them with everyday activities such as shopping, meal preparation, household chores, personal care, and community outings. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to build trusted relationships and provide compassionate, person-centred support tailored to each individual's needs.
Note: Although Hawksbury is accredited to hire staff on an Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), we do not have a Job Check for this position so cannot support applicant with the visa process.
Ideally, you'll have an NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 or equivalent along with:- A positive attitude to supporting people with learning disability.
- A full New Zealand driver's licence.
- Great communication skills (written and verbal).
- Good computer skills.
- Ongoing development opportunities. If you haven't already completed NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 2 and 3, we will support you to complete these.
- Paid time off the floor to complete your fully funded First aid certificate in addition to Safe Manual Handling, Falls Prevention and Dysphagia training.
