This is an **Expression of Interest (EOI)** for upcoming Cook opportunities at **CHT Karaka**. We are expecting multiple openings for **Permanent Full Time and Part Time** positions commencing **August 2026**.As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals that cater to the dietary needs of our residents, while maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards.

**Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:**- Prepare, cook, and present meals to a high standard, including portioning and plating.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety, including cleaning and waste management.
- Receive, store, and rotate kitchen supplies to ensure freshness and reduce waste.
- Support menu planning to meet dietary and cultural needs of residents.
- Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive kitchen environment.
- Previous experience cooking in a similar environment, ideally in aged care or healthcare.
- Able to work under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
- A team player who can also work independently with a flexible approach.
- Physically fit, reliable, and committed to high hygiene standards.
- Good communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent service.
