The Role
We are searching for passionate individuals who are enthusiastic about supporting people with diverse needs. We provide enhanced support for those living with long-term physical or mental health conditions, intellectual disabilities, sensory impairments, and/or high and complex behavioural needs—helping them to live their best lives and reach their full potential.As a Support Worker, you will have the privilege of walking alongside people in the community—empowering them to build independence, grow essential life skills, and gain greater confidence in their everyday lives.
You’ll be part of a caring and collaborative team providing 24/7 residential support. The people you’ll be working with lead active and energetic lives, enjoying community connections, nature, walks, swimming, technology, and a variety of activities both at home and in the wider community.They thrive in structured environments with clear boundaries, forming strong and positive relationships with those around them. Your role will be key in creating a safe, engaging environment where they feel supported and encouraged.
We have a variety of shifts available, and ask that you note your availability in your application and cover letter. As the roster includes weekends and some sleepover shifts, flexibility is essential.
About You
Ideally, you will have experience providing personal care, along with strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting people with disabilities, autism, or challenging behaviours will help you deliver tailored, person-centred support.
You’ll need to maintain clear routines while staying adaptable, resilient, and quick-thinking. A great sense of humour, patience, and a true passion for helping people thrive are essential.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in personal care, particularly with individuals who have challenging behaviours, autism, and intellectual disabilities.
- A strong understanding of positive behaviour support strategies.
- The ability to follow support plans and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
