Industrial Electrical Division Manager - Christchurch

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to join our company as an Industrial Electrical Division Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and be able to hit the ground running.

You should have excellent leadership skills, as well as the ability to identify division problems and solve them quickly and efficiently.

In this role, your duties will include supervising the division’s staff to ensure daily targets are met, ensuring that all work is completed in line with division procedures and policies, and reporting any work-related issues to management.

Industrial Electrical Division Manager Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coming up with sales and marketing plans and schedule
  • Providing pricing and quotes to customers promptly
  • Hire and train new staff, as well as overseeing the onboarding process and review employee performances
  • Organizing, planning, and managing the daily tasks and operations of the division
  • Making sure staff are working efficiently and are accountable for their work and identifying areas of improvement
  • Liaising with clients to make sure they are well informed
  • Invoicing all work on time once jobs are complete
  • Sorting any issues that arise and make sure they are dealt with quickly
  • Meeting targets for sales and profit margins
  • Looking for opportunities and growing the division
  • Other Duties as required
Industrial Electrical Division Manager Requirements and Qualifications
  • This is a part hands on the tools role until the team grows
  • Proven experience in a managerial role
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Experience in pricing work
  • Solid communication and team working skills.
  • Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • The ability to navigate stressful work situations.
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
  • Knowledge of Solar System installation and commissioning would be a bonus
  • Have a clean full NZ Drivers Licence
