Cleaner - Dunedin

Reports to: Property Manager

Role Purpose

Responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across a portfolio of residential and short-stay accommodation properties, with occasional cleaning of associated vehicles and equipment. The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.

• Private residence: 4 hours per week
• Private accommodation: 4 hours per week
• Student flat: 4 hours per week
• AirBnB turnovers: Balance of hours (variable, based on bookings)

• Carry out routine and detailed cleaning across all assigned properties
• Complete AirBnB changeovers, including full cleans between guest stays
• Ensure all properties are presented to a high standard and ready for occupancy
• Follow agreed cleaning checklists and property-specific requirements
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
• Identify and report maintenance issues, damages, or supply needs
• Maintain professionalism and respect privacy when working in private residences
• Occasionally clean personal and fleet vehicles, farm machinery, and boats as required.
• May also include waterblasting outdoor areas, exterior window cleaning.

• Work can be completed around your own schedule
• Flexibility is offered, provided all work is completed on time and to the required standard
• AirBnB turnovers must be completed within required turnaround timeframes

• All cleaning products and supplies are provided
• A current driver’s licence is required
• Use of a personal vehicle is required to travel between sites
• Mileage is paid when using a personal vehicle to travel between work locations

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred (but not essential)
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy

• Self-motivated and well organised
• Flexible and adaptable to a variable workload
• Respectful of confidentiality and personal property
• Physically capable of carrying out cleaning duties
