About the Role Hours of work are predominantly Monday to Friday 8-4:30pm with up to one weekend a month and 1-2 PM shifts (12:30-9pm) a month.

District Nursing is part of the network of community based health care delivery services that aims to work in partnership with others to support treatment, rehabilitation, long term condition management and enable individuals to maximise their independence.

The salary for this role is MECA Step 2-7 Registered Nurse based on skills and experience
  • pro rata.About the Team/Service/ Location The Community Health Services provides a variety of nursing services with a focus on quality health care, working alongside patients and their whanau to achieve optimum health outcomes.
Our team is made of District Nurses, Associate Clinical Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists Health Care Assistants and Admin support.

The team supports skill acquisition through a comprehensive orientation program and encouraging you to expand your knowledge and skills.About you We are keen to hear from nurses who are interested in working in the community environment and integrating with other members of the community health care team.Wound Care Acute and ChronicAcute assessment skills able to recognise the deterioration IV related therapies Catheter management General assessment skills to support people to live at home.
