  • About the Role Our kai mahi (staff) all share a common goal of supporting tangata whai ora to live their best lives as independently as possible in the community.

Te Toki Haumanu Closer to Home services will provide care and support for people to support them to achieve their recovery and wellbeing goals with a key goal of avoiding admission to the Whare Whakaue ward or specialist services.Part time (up to 40 hours per week)Working business hours, Monday Friday from 8am to 4:30pmOn-call roster after hours and weekendsAs Pou Toko Ora (Cultural Peer Support Worker) you may be: Supporting People with their recovery in their own homeConnecting or reconnecting them with their whānau and natural supports.Accompanying people through their whakapapa journeyIndependent cultural opinion for people who may receive compulsory assessment or treatmentInspiring hope and recoveryEmpowering people to do the things they love, as independently as possibleSupport people with budgeting or other skills to help manage the cost of living crisisAttending appointments and advocating for people Click here for Position DescriptionClick here for Collective Agreement (if applicable) About You | MōuWe want to see the real you in your application and welcome this in any creative form.
