Caretaker & Groundsperson
About the role
Ngakoroa School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Caretaker & Groundsperson to join our close-knit school community on a part-time basis. As our Caretaker & Groundsperson, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness and overall presentation of our school campus located in Drury, Auckland.
What you'll be doing- Maintaining the grounds and gardens to a high standards
- Performing general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the school's buildings, facilities
- Identifying and addressing any health and safety concerns to provide a safe environment.
- Liaising with school leadership to prioritise and action maintenance and improvement projects
- Experience in a similar caretaking or handyperson role, ideally within an education or community setting
- Strong technical skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve a variety of maintenance issues
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
- Excellent time management and organisational skills to juggle multiple competing priorities
- A genuine commitment to providing well-kept and welcoming environment
- An understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to upholding safety standards
