About the roleDevelop airway management skills and acquire acute pain management experience in this dynamic environment.We provide a comprehensive orientation and absolutely guarantee you'll learn new skills to complement your present skill set.Workload is Monday to Sunday inclusive and covered by a combination of rostered shifts and on-call We're a specialised unit providing post anaesthetic care to surgical patients.Our service covers both elective and acuteThoracic,Neurosurgical,ENT,Ophthalmology,Maxillofacial,Urology,General surgery,Vascular,Gynaecology,Orthopaedic,Paediatric surgical specialties.

We also care for procedures that occur outside of the theatre complex.

About youCurrent registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New ZealandPrevious PACU experience preferred, and will consider 2+ years relevant surgical experienceMust have critical assessment skills and able to make rapid decisions and prompt interventions.Confident in taking a step up in terms of clinical responsibility and able to work autonomously.Must be a team player and relates to colleagues in a highly professional and personable manner.
