Part time Retail Manager 19 1/4 hours per week
We are New Zealand's specialists in handknitting yarns and accessories and an established family-owned business.
We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, reliable, organized individual who has great time management skills and is self-motivated as you will be in the store on your own. Must be able relate to people from diverse age groups, have experience within the retail market and someone who aside from their great people skills is prepared to build and grow an already successful business.The ability to knit is a must and the use of a sewing machine would be helpful for selling the sewing machines we sell.
You will be responsible for managing 2 staff members, stock ordering, the daily running of the store, growing sales and excellent customer service and product advice.
Training will be given to the successful applicant along with a supportive culture to ensure you have what it takes to succeed.
Approx 19 1/4 hours a week
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9.30am - 1.30pm
Tuesday 1.15pm - 4.30pm
Extra hours required to fill in for staff annual leave, staff sickness and during busy times.
To be successful in this role you must have a good knowledge of knitting and an understanding of sewing. Ideally you need to have been in a sole charge role, experience in retail at a supervisory level and have a passion for exceptional customer service.
