The Job T&C’s:
Monday to Friday (40 hours)
We are seeking a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking, and presentation of food, as well as the day-to-day running of our café based on Fonterra Bridge Street. Think of tasty, wholesome hot and cold cabinet food , baked items and breakfast that our customers can order and eat in a short time frame before their next shift starts.An understanding of what the customers crave will have you well on the road to success here.
What You’ll Do:- prepare, cook, and serve a variety of cabinet food items
- monitor quality of food at all stages of preparation and presentation,
- manage food and labour costs within budget,
- discuss food preparation issues with managers,
- implement New Zealand Food Control and Safety regulations,
- maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment,
- demonstrate great communication skills and moderate computer literacy,
- show a flexible, can-do, committed attitude.
Reporting to an operations manager, this is a sole charge role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am – 2:30pm, where you will ensure the smooth running of the café.
