-based specialists (such as neurology, general surgery,nephology, gastro-enterology etc).PCS supports the client to manage theemotional impact of their physical health condition.
PCS provides short tomedium term psychological interventions mainly on an outpatient basis.Assessment and intervention can also be required for inpatients at ChristchurchHospital and Christchurch Women

Eachpsychologist is funded to attend professional training, and psychologists areencouraged to develop specialty areas of practice and to teach or do researchin these areas.
Te Whatu Ora- Waitaha also offers a range of free training insupervision and leadership.
With your knowledge base, you
- ll be well equipped to supportstaff from a range of professional backgrounds with advice and clinicalconsultation.In this role, youwill:Providecomprehensive clinical assessment, psychometric testing, and therapeuticinterventions individually or in groups;Support for the medicalteams in understanding the psychological formulations of their clients and theimpact this has on treatments and clinical approach;Skills and ExperienceYou
