Manaaki Ora Trust is a kaupapa Maori organisation that has grown from the aspirations of Te Arawa to ensure Maori are healthy, live well and are able to access the services and support that they need. Working under the maru (shelter) of Ngati Naho, we are fortunate to be the newly appointed service provider for alcohol and other drug services in Waikeria Prison.

Ko wai koe / About you:

You will have a lived experience of imprisonment and/or recovery from alcohol and other drugs. In your recovery, you have been active in delivery of recovery support for others and can demonstrate this. Joining a team with a shared passion to support tane realise their potential, you will be mature with the right disposition to work in this highly challenging environment.

Nga pukenga ka whai koe/ Skills you will have:

  • Preferably a relevant level 4 qualification in health, education or Maori arts
  • A minimum of 5 years in recovery.
  • Ability to facilitate learning experiences for small groups.
  • Ideally, whakapapa to mana whenua
