JOB DESCRIPTION

The position involves servicing, maintaining, repairing and installing a variety of food machinery equipment in both workshop and client premises.

• Disassemble, inspect, refurbish, and reassemble commercial food equipment and mechanical sub-systems.
• Identify worn/damaged parts and execute mechanical repairs using lathes, milling machines, grinders, cold saws, etc.
• Fabricate or repair parts in-house as needed to reduce downtime and support long-term asset function.
• Conduct routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on client machinery to ensure reliable performance.
• Diagnosing faults and identifying solutions quickly and accurately
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs on a wide range of commercial food machinery
• Installing and assembling new machinery and equipment as required
• Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard and complies with safety regulations
• Maintain strong documentation of all repair activities via digital systems.

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, or a trade qualification as a Fitter, Fitter and Turner, Electrical Service Technician, or similar field.
• Proficiency in welding, fabrication, and mechanical modifications is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electromechanical equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
• Willingness to undergo a criminal history check and drug testing if required
