Mō te tūnga | About the roleWe currently have an exciting opportunity to join Ara Poutama Aotearoa/The Department of Corrections as a Senior Community Work Supervisor at our Richmond Community Corrections site.We are all about changing lives and creating pathways through meaningful community work projects.
Our community work teams oversee and manage people who are serving community work sentences as they work on meaningful projects at schools, reserves, community groups, Marae, and churches.As a Senior Community Work Supervisor your key responsibilities will include:Managing those serving community work sentences, including guiding and motivating them as they complete their community work hours.Planning and organising work projects.Monitoring sentence compliance.Building work relationships with community agencies and helping source new projects in the community.Mentoring and coaching Community Work Supervisors within the team.This is an exciting opportunity to develop a career and to make a difference.

The hours of the position are 40 hours per week, working Tuesday- Saturday.

Ngā painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $71,181 per annum and the full range (85%
- 120%) is $68,887
- $75,533 per annum.
