Our unique “Listen, Sing, Play, Read, FUN!” approach is built on an internationally recognised curriculum, and we pride ourselves on creating a boutique, nurturing, and joy-filled learning environment for our students and their families.
The Role:
We’re on the lookout for a vibrant, warm, and energetic Preschool Music Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis (up to 10 hours per week). You’ll be working with our youngest musicians (ages 2–5), teaching them the magic of music through playful, engaging activities that spark creativity and confidence.
This role also has opportunities to extend into our Junior Music program (ages 5–6) after school from 3.45pm for the right candidate.
Hours:
Weekday mornings: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (10:00am – 12:00pm)
Saturday mornings: 9:15am (during term time only)
Specific days and hours will be confirmed at interview and may be flexible for the right applicant.
About You:
You’ll be someone who lights up a room with your energy and warmth. Experience in early childhood, education, or working with young children is an advantage, but above all we’re looking for a natural teacher with a love of music, play, and people.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a clear, confident singing voice and can sing in tune.
- Is upbeat, friendly, and able to connect naturally with children and parents.
- Is comfortable leading music, movement, and play activities with small groups.
- Has the physical mobility to get up and down off the floor, dance, wiggle, and join in the fun!
- Brings patience, humour, and a nurturing spirit to every class.
- Can work independently, but also thrives in a team.
Bonus: basic piano/keyboard skills, or a background in teaching, ECE, performance, or music (basic musical training will be supplied for the right person though!)
What We Offer:
- Permanent, part-time employment (no contract work—we look after our people!).
- Competitive pay + teacher’s administration allowance on top of contact hours.
- Comprehensive, world-class paid training.
- School-friendly hours during term time only—no holiday work required.
- A supportive, tight-knit, fun-loving team.
The chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of tamariki and their caregivers through music.
