Trainee Installer

Nelspecs is looking for a motivated and hands on trainee installer to join our team based in Nelson. This is a full-time opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic field, with full training provided.

What you'll be doing:

• Working alongside experienced radio technicians to learn the ins and outs of communication systems and gaining hands on experience within our industry.
• Carrying out installation, maintenance and repairs of communication equipment and systems in vehicles, machinery, boats and buildings.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Configuring and programming radio/communication devices.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work undertaken.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

• An genuine interest in automotive and electronics would be ideal, however full training will be given.
• Clean drivers license with the ability to drive a manual.
• Ability to work away as over night trips will be required.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• A knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Well-presented with strong customer service skills.
• Self motivated, capable of working alone and part of the team.
• No previous criminal convictions.
