Role:
This Senior Foreman role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated individual to take the lead. You'll be responsible for supervising and coordinating site teams, including carpenters, apprentices, labourers, and subcontractors - to ensure work is delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Your day-to-day involves interpreting plans, managing timelines, optimising labour and materials, and ensuring that all work is completed right the first time. This role requires you to have your tool belt on site, but it won't always be strapped on as there'll be plenty of other tasks to get stuck into.You'll play a key role in maintaining project documentation, communicating with management, QS teams, clients, and ensuring variations and changes are clearly understood and actioned.
You'll also be guiding junior staff, providing constructive feedback, and upholding a professional site culture. We are on the hunt for someone that has a positive mindset, can handle the daily pressures that a construction site can bring and most of all lead the team from the front while striving for success, this role will play a pivotal part in what W Hamilton has to offer to their clients.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in a Foreman or similar leadership role within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on, proactive approach
- In-depth understanding of residential & commercial construction processes from start to finish
- Highly organised with excellent problem-solving and forward-planning abilities
- Thorough knowledge of health & safety regulations, building codes, and compliance procedures
- Solutions-focused mindset with the ability to make confident, effective decisions on-site
