Job Summary
Massage Therapists perform therapeutic massage techniques to enhance physical health and promote relaxation and well-being in clients.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing clients’ physical conditions and identifying areas of discomfort or tension.
- Using a range of massage techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue
- Applying pressure with hands, fingers, or specialized equipment to manipulate muscles
- Advising clients on posture, exercise, and relaxation techniques to improve overall
- Maintaining detailed records of treatments provided to clients.
- Referring clients to other health care professionals, if necessary.
- Ensuring a clean and hygienic work environment, including sterilization of tools and
- Following safety and health guidelines to prevent injuries and infections.
- Relevant NZQF Diploma;OR
- At least two years of working experience in relevant industry
- Strong knowledge of physiology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to customize treatments based on individual client needs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
