Role Overview
As a Carpenter at WCR, you will be involved in all aspects of renovation and construction projects—from framing and installation to finishing touches. You will work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, contributing your skills and attention to detail to ensure superior results.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out carpentry work on renovation, alteration, and new build projects, including set-out, foundations, framing, cladding, interior lining, joinery installation, and finishing.
Work with a range of materials including wood, metal, and composites.
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project delivery.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site to keep projects on schedule.
Mentor and support apprentices or junior carpenters, as required.
Requirements
Proven carpentry experience, preferably in renovations or construction projects.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good physical condition and stamina for manual work.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Own full tool set.
Health and Safety certification is advantageous.
