Tirohia tēnei.Aroturuki Tamariki | Independent Children's Monitor provides oversight of the oranga tamariki system.
We check that organisations supporting and working with tamariki (children) and rangatahi (young people) in the oranga tamariki system are meeting their needs, delivering services effectively, and improving outcomes.
We do this by listening to the experiences of those in the system and analysing data, to provide insights that will drive continuous improvement for tamariki and rangatahi
  • particularly tamariki and rangatahi Māori and tamariki and rangatahi with disabilities.The Senior Communications Advisor works with the Manager Communications to provide end-to-end communications support to Aroturuki Tamariki.
As a small communications team, there is a lot of variety in the work
  • whether it is proofing and editing an engagement report, writing a newsletter or web content, drafting internal messages or a PowerPoint presentation, or managing media responses.
We are looking for someone who:can distil large complex reports into key messageshas a great eye for detail
  • and is a stickler for style guidescan spot a story in amongst a lot of datahas a knack for making content simple and easy to understand.Our values are Kia Māia
